Rema and Omah Lay are just like WizKid and Davido if you think about it.

Although they’re not rivals at the moment, there’s no telling what the future holds for them. What we do know is that the two young boys are doing wonders!

Rema

He first got the spotlight, when he released his first EP, “Rema” under the supervision of Don Jazzy, in 2019.

He then went on to do an impressive run of single releases, which led to his nomination for Next Rated that same year.

Later on, he put out his second EP, “Bad Commando” which had the hit single, “Lady” and won the Next Rated award. He didn’t slow down in 2020, dropping singles and doing a number of collaborations.

He also dropped a compilation album of all his singles and he’s been doing amazing numbers on streaming platforms. He is definitely poised for big things!

Omah Lay

Coming exactly a year after the emergence of Rema (like in Davido and Wizkid’s case), Omah Lay dropped his first project, the “Get Layd” EP which is one of the most streamed projects from a Nigerian artiste in 2020.

He had a number of hits, and by the end of the year, his song, “Bad Influence” was already one of the biggest singles of the year.

He then released a second EP, “What Have We Done” which had such hits as “Godly” and “Confession.”

Omah Lay also won the Next Rated award this year, and we all know there’s no stopping the youngster.
